Today’s first flight of Event 5 has come to an end but not without a little drama. One of our players was sitting pretty with a good chance for a big knockout  when he ran into a river two outer to leave him with just 7,000.

They were playing the last five hands of the flight and he was ready to shove until he busted or doubled. Lucky for him he picked up , unlucky for him was Alex Reznik calling with in the small blind.

The flop was great but then it went running clubs to send our unlucky player out just short of bagging.

When the color up process was complete, we found two big stacks left in the game. It was close but Kvzma Katayenko’s 296,000 was a little better than David Jackson’s 256,000.

Flight 1D is done and dusted, they return tomorrow at 1PM for Day 2.
