Saturday morning means it’s time to roll out the final day of opening flights for Event 1. We’ve put four in the books and they combined to draw 1,460 entrants to put Event 1 very near to hitting the $500,000 guaranteed prize pool.
That will be hit sometime this afternoon when the 208th player gets in the game, every entry after that will only push the prize pool higher.
The first four flights sent 277 players forward to Day 2 with Ruddy Diaz currently holding the lead and the only player over 300,000 so far. Seminole Hard Rock Poker Player of the Year contender T.K. Miles is not far behind with 294,500 along with Alan Slakman and Jonathan Grasso.
Today’s entrants will play the same structure as the previous four. They sit down to 20,000 starting stacks and play 30-minute levels throughout the day. Late registration is open until the start of Level 9 at 3:30PM and unlimited re-entries are available during that time.
Play is scheduled to complete at the end Level 14 and anyone still holding chips will move on to Day 2 tomorrow afternoon. If they fail to produce a chip bag, the final flight of Event 1 kicks off at 6pm.
