At this stage of the tournament, not even the biggest stacks are terribly deep. Robert Wiercinski came back from the break with the smallest of them all and put his last 555,000 in the middle from the button after David Jackson opened to 250,000.

Jackson called with and was ahead of Wiercinski’s . His live cards went away on the flop and nothing on the turn or river could change his fate. Wiercinski laddered up well but had to settle for 9th place.
