$25,500 Big 4 High Roller
$2,000,000 Guaranteed | Payouts
Level 19: 25,000/50,000 with a 5,000 ante
Players Remaining: 8 of 117
It took nearly 15 hours for the field of 117 entries to play down to the final table of eight. The man best positioned to make a run at this year’s SHRPO High Roller title and $801,450 is a blast from the past in Brandon Adams, who bagged up 2.245 million. He is seeking his first live tournament victory despite having more than $1.5 million in earnings.
The only other player over the two-million mark is Mike Leah with 2.135 million. Others returning for Day 2 action are Chris “Big Huni” Hunichen (1.715 million), high roller vet Tom Marchese (1.12 million), and two-time WPT champ Sam Panzica (910,000).
Rounding out the final table are John Andress (1.37 million), Chance Kornuth (1.195 million), and Omar Zazay (1.015 million). In 2015, Zazay won the SHRPO Main Event for a smooth $1 million, so he’ll be looking for his second SHRPO title come tomorrow.
Among those to cash the tournament but fall short of the final table were Anthony Spinella (16th – $55,575), Zach Smiley (15th – $58,500), defending champ Marvin Rettenmaier (14th – $61,425), Rainer Kempe (13th – $64,350), Jeff Gross (12th – $67,275), Alex Papazian (11th – $70,200), Joseph Cheong (10th – $73,125), and Matt Glantz (9th – $76,050).
Of course not everyone was fortunate enough to cash. Among those to try and fall over the course of play were Erik Seidel, Blake Bohn, Dan Colman, Jared Jaffee, Cate Hall, Ike Haxton, Bryn Kenney, Nick Petrangelo, and 2017 SHRPO $50K Super High Roller champ Nick Schulman.
Here’s the final lineup. The remaining players will return to action at Noon EDT on Sunday inside Hard Rock Live to play down to a winner. Not only will we capture all the action here in the blog, you’ll be able to watch The Big Four action online.
