Raj Vohra opened the action from the cutoff and Jon Borenstein three-bet to 850,000 from the button. The blinds released and Vohra moved all in the 3,400,000 total. Borenstein used two 30-second time chips before dropping in a stack to call.

A record 2,482 entries turned up for the 2021 WPT Poker Showdown Championship and the tournament is down to the last 21 trying to make the televised final table in Las Vegas. Only six of these players will book a seat and the remaining field is stacked with talented players.

Albert Calderon returns with the chip lead but with the average stack at 47 bb, anybody can catch him. Notables will pack the last three tables while Blair Hinkle has a chance to make history; he captured the 2013 SHRPO title, our biggest Championship field before this tournament and he’s still here with a shot to do it again.

Cards go back in the air at noon and they will play 90-minute levels until the Championship is down to the last six players.

Event 28 sees the return of the $5,000 buy-in one-day tournament that has become a popular tournament on our schedule over the last few years. It returns today as one of the last events on the schedule and we expect a talented crew in the game.

The tournament has a $200,000 guaranteed prize pool with 20,000 deep starting stacks and 30-minute levels. Late registration is available until the start of Level 12 at 6:40 pm following the dinner break and players may fire as often as needed.

It gets underway at noon and we will pick up the action later this evening after the Championship final table is settled.

We are just about at the end of the 2021 Poker Showdown schedule with a handful of new tournaments to cap it off starting with Event 27 at 11 am. This one is a $400 Big Stack NLH game that will have locals and visitor lined up to join.

They’ll start with 15,000 in their stack and 30-minute levels on the clock. Late registration is available until the start of Level 9 at 3:30 pm and they may re-enter as often as needed during that time. They have a 40-minute dinner break scheduled at 5:30 pm.

This is one of the last chances to take home a Poker Showdown trophy and we expect another big crowd.

After more than 18 hours, including a heads-up battle that lasted two hours, it was Benson Tang who came out on top. The outright victory earned Tang $54,655 for his showing.

Event 21 of the 2021 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown was a $1,700 Purple Chip Bounty NLH (Re-Entry). The field of 385 entries and the prize pool of $385,000 were record highs for this event, with about $192,500 set aside for bounties.

A deal between the final three players took place and as the chip leader, Rafael Lima was officially the winner for $61,267.

The win for Lima comes on the heels of his Event 1 victory in the 2021 Escalator V Series in February.
