There were 219 entries in the two-day $2,200 Deep Stack No-Limit Hold’em event, generating a prizepool worth $438,000, which more than doubled the $200K guarantee.

Jake Cody emerged victorious, defeating Kevin Eyster heads-up to win the title, the trophy, and $93,900.

Day 1 played down to the final table, with Eyster in the chip lead, followed by Cody. And after the eliminations of Jeremy Becker (4th place) and Mykhail Lendel (3rd place) in a span of a few minutes, Eyster had a 1.5-to-1 lead for the start of heads-up play against Cody.

The heads-up battle lasted for an hour and a half, until Eyster got short and got it in with Jc10s against Cody’s KcQs. The board came Qd7s2c7h10d, giving Cody the victory with a pair of queens.

Cody is a top poker player with more than $4.6 million in career earnings, and he is in the elite club of players with a triple crown — a WPT title, a WSOP bracelet, and an EPT title. And now Cody can add a Seminole Hard Rock trophy to his collection.
