Event 59 of the 2024 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown was a $600 Eight-Handed Pot-Limit Omaha 8-or-Better (Re-Entry). A field of 79 entries produced a prize pool of $41,080 and earning the largest piece was Sheila O’Connor, winning outright for $13,865.

This marked O’Connor’s second SHRP major series trophy victory, having previously won a Pot-Limit Omaha 8-or-Better event during the 2022 SHRPO.

The Championship isn’t the only game in town today; we have to add more Omaha to the schedule. Today we have a $600 Eight-Handed Pot-Limit Omaha tournament at noon for those who like their poker with four cards and split pots.

Players start with 20K deep stacks and all levels last 30 minutes for the one day trophy event. Late registration and re-entries are available until the start of Level 9 at 4:30 pm. They have a 45-minute dinner break at 6:30 pm then play down to a champ.

A heads-up deal was made at the final table and Eric Kolodny was the chip leader, making him the official winner for $15,055.

This marked Kolodny’s second SHRP major series trophy, having previously won a $150 No-Limit Hold’em tournament during the 2012 Showdown for $3,802. The score tonight gives Kolodny $400K in career live tournament winnings per the Hendon Mob poker database.
