2024 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown Event 68 Champion Donny Rubinstein

Event 68 of the 2024 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown was a $600 Triple Stud, drawing 52 entries for a prize pool of $27,040. Emerging victorious was Donny Rubinstein, winning outright for $10,000.

This marked Rubinstein’s second SHRP major series trophy, having previously won an Omaha-8 event during the 2021 SHRPO. Rubinstein also prevented runner-up finisher Ryan Hoenig from winning a record-setting fourth trophy in one series.

Donny Rubinstein was the bring-in for 15,000, Ryan Hoenig completed to 50,000, and Rubinstein called.

Rubinstein check-called 50,000 from Hoenig on fourth street before Hoenig committed the rest of his 80,000-ish on fifth street.

Rubinstein had pulled ahead with a pair of tens with a straight draw, leading Hoenig’s pair of eights.

Sixth street saw Rubinstein get the 4c, while Hoenig caught a non-helpful 2h.

Seventh street saw Rubinstein show the Ac, keeping him at a pair of tens. Hoenig squeezed his seventh but showed the 6c, ending his bid for a fourth trophy of the series with his third-runner-up showing of the series, this one for $5,950.

Rubinstein notched the victory for $10,000 and his second SHRP major series trophy.

Registration closed for the $600 Triple Stud tournament with 52 entries to build a prize pool total of $27,040. The last seven spots will pay out with $1,215 for a min-cash and an even $10,000 up top for the winner.
